ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD
The house is in the best neighborhood in town (we're a little biased, ahem)
...a perfectly quiet, family-friendly neighborhood in a small, central NY village.
Kids make friends and walk to school together.
Neighbors visit as they walk their dogs.
Numerous young families with strollers and toddlers walk up the street, as well.
Privacy is important to the residents of Strowbridge as well as friendliness.
Neighbors move in and stay a long time here.
The Washington, Strowbridge, Seneca and McLallen Street families have a block party each summer. No one does that anymore!
Being on a side street there's very little traffic, maybe one car an hour.
Halloween is big and old-fashioned in this part of the village.

ABOUT TRUMANSBURG
Trumansburg is known for its progressive school system, rich cultural activities and abundant community spirit.
This is one of the coolest, most vibrant villages in Tompkins County, New York,
featuring a restored downtown with full amenities, quirky shops,
great eateries and a full schedule of great, live music.
Many families have chosen to live here because of its small size,
safe neighborhoods and fabulous community ambiance.
It's why our family chose to live here...
it reminded my parents of their little villages in Norway and Scotland.
The Farmer's Market is THE place to be on Wednesday afternoons,
with evening family movies through the summer.
Commuting to Ithaca is a breeze.
Riding the bus to Cornell takes about 25 minutes and costs $3/round trip.
The walk from this house to the bus takes just 5 minutes.
Schools, playgrounds, churches, CSA,
Farmer's Market, library, post office, shops
and eateries are all within walking distance.

ABOUT OUR HOUSE
Speaking of the house: it has all the quaint charm of a circa,
turn-of-the-century (1900) village home and includes 1,326 square feet.

Only two families have occupied the house in the more than 100 years since it was built.
Our family moved here in 1963.
There is a lovely two-sided front and side porch as well as a back deck.
Three bedrooms and a bath are upstairs.
Downstairs is a living room, family room, breakfast nook and kitchen with laundry hook-up.
Hardwood floors throughout, downstairs floors are carpeted.
Closets were added to each of the bedrooms
plus a roomy coat and storage closet is downstairs off the front hall.
Below is the half-basement, all original stone foundation.
A two-story storage/garden barn is original to the property.
A comfortable back, side and front yard with mature trees and flower beds
complete this peacefully quiet property.
Croquet, badminton and soccer have been played here.
It takes just an hour to mow the yard with a push mower.
